DIVIDE AND CONQUER

I like the use of color Greg Betza used in this picture. Its hard to see the use of pen, which I really enjoy. I love how everything doesn't go to the end of the page. Some things are left white still which adds to the color even more!
This drawing was done by Despina Georgiadis. I love how the drawing looks like she didn't pick up her pen. It has a messy feel to it that I really appreciate.
This picture is from Veronica Lawlor's blog. It is a Haiti relief picture. I really admire the use of color and the harsh lines that still flow to together to give off a soft feeling.
The drawing is from Christian Tribastrone's Art Blog. This picture is really interesting, first of all because it is a perspective, but just the house is in the picture, with a few things thrown in like trees, the fence, and bushes. I love how he outlines the whole picture in white, not to mention the drawing is on a paper bag.
This is a picture from Angeline Melin's blog. I admire her style because it is so simple but intriguing. The way all the girl have the same faces but different hair and glasses make them all look different. I would describe her style as a loose and sketchy.

Vertical Moments of Light-Idea Sheet

Watercolor 3 Vingettes

I took a more fantasy approach for this project. I thought putting random objects in a scene that could be realistic would be fun and interesting to do, expecting not everyone would do the same. I think I could have carried the colors of the sky over better, and blended them with other colors like gray and such to make them more realistic. Overall, I liked this project and I will probably practice these techniques on my own to become better at watercolor :)

Watercolor Vingettes

I really enjoyed doing this project. Looking at people's accessories was interesting because I looked at them in whole new light, meaning I tried to focus mainly on the accessory and its detail and then fade out the actual skin or arm to provide the mot focus on the ring or bracelet. Looking at my work now, I wish I would have carried the colors over better. Also, the shape of the hand drawing is a little off, because some of the fingers are too long.
